Bedroom Scene

In my bedroom atop a credenza (circa 1830)

A red robin sits alongside a great gray owl

Nebulosis

In color.

The owl, that is.

The robin never sits still

His breast plump and breathless

Effervescent,  optimistic, romantic.

The Great Gray swivels

Like a tennis match

His head.

Never sure who to listen to

I am confused.
