Letter to my dear sister
A few years ago, during our water shortage, I took out all the plants from my lower garden. Then I found these granite plaques that said things on them like “be careful” or “fragile” or “Bring back something good”and it meant a lot to me just to be able to look at the words and the emptiness behind them.I guess because there is some hope for the future, I bought a whole bunch of plants and a crazy looking tree and planted them today . I have these two green benches from design within reach and so in the morning when I get up, I take Sadie out to the backyard and I sit on the bench and Sadie barks and barks at the people walking by. I find it so serene and no matter how cold it is in the morning. I still enjoy it out there. I bought this Japanese housecoat that I also gave to ALEXANDER and to Josine and Olive. Maybe I’ll send one to you. It would be nice for you and me because you could wear it in the morning when it’s chilly and you want to walk outside. The Japanese are really ahead of us. They know how important it is to have the correct coat to wear while enjoying a garden in the early morning.
